2. Minimum Order Quantity for US/HK Stocks
US Stocks: 1 share
HK Stocks: 1 lot (The minimum unit for trading HK stocks is one lot. Unlike A-shares, the number of shares in a lot of HK stocks is determined by the stock price, with 1 lot possibly being 100 shares, 500 shares, 1000 shares, or 2000 shares. For example, Tencent Holdings currently has 100 shares per lot, while Kingsoft has 1000 shares per lot.)
3. Clearing and Settlement (Closing Positions)
The clearing and settlement for closing positions in US and HK stocks are both T+2, requiring 2 working days to complete. Before the settlement is completed, the funds will be temporarily frozen. After selling, the principal and profit/loss of the position will be returned to the frozen amount. After T+2 settlement is completed, the funds will be returned to the assets. (Users need to exchange USD or HKD for USDT to withdraw funds)
4. Pending Order Margin
The margin that needs to be frozen before each pending order is executed. Pending order margin is to ensure that users have sufficient funds to purchase stocks or cover the costs of stock taxes after payment, and to assume that after the transaction, there is corresponding position margin for this pending order contract.
5. Trading Hours
6. Circuit Breaker Mechanism
7. High Dividend and Stock Split Mechanism
High dividend and stock split, also known as stock splitting and consolidation, refers to the process of cutting a stock into smaller pieces, increasing the number of shares, lowering the stock price, while maintaining the same total value. Stock splitting helps expand the investor base, attracting more investors to participate and increasing trading volume and liquidity. For example, Tencent Holdings split its shares from 1 to 5 on May 15, 2014. A reverse stock split is the opposite of a stock split, where multiple shares are combined into 1 share. During the reverse stock split process, the total value of the shares held by the shareholder remains the same, but the number of shares held decreases. For users, the total value remains the same, but the quantity changes.
8V platform continuously provides you with better products and higher-quality services!
